Computer renderings of the up-and-coming SLS hotel in Beverly Hills were recently released to the public. The hotel is slated to open later this year.
The hotel, designed by French designer Philippe Starck is the first of the SLS hotel brand (part of the SBE Hotel Group.). SBE contracted with Starck to oversee the design of each of the hotels.
Other noteworthy individuals involved with the hotel include Jose Andres and Philip Dailey. Daily has been assigned the GM position at the SLS Beverly Hills. Andres will be involved in crafting a culinary program.
Design store giant Moss will be handling the retail aspect of the hotel while hospitality management company Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc will be managing day-to-day activities.
Boasting nearly 300 rooms and special features such as a dual guest lobby, Bazaar, and “lifestyle suites,” the SLS at Beverly Hills will join The Luxury Collection of Hotels and Resorts, an assemblage of 65 of the world’s highest-caliber hotels and resorts (scattered throughout 26 countries).
