Just when you thought Ed McMahon’s money troubles were over, here he is in the news spotlight once again. A lender who issued McMahon a $250,000 loan back in July of 2006 is suing him for failing to repay. The lender is also seeking additional compensation.
According to documents, McMahon and wife Pamela were to pay more than $3,000/month for the initial five months of the loan, thereafter paying off the remainder of the loan ($235,125).
The former star has had his fair share of financial problems these last few months. Most recently, McMahon was sued by a divorce attorney for failing to flip the bill. The attorney, Norma Solovay, was representing Linda Schmerge, McMahons’s daughter from a previous marriage. The exact circumstances surrounding the representation are still unclear. Prior to this, McMahon’s home was on the brink of foreclosure after he defaulted on his mortgage payments. McMahon reportedly owed Countrywide Financial, the mortgage carrier, $644,000 in payments for his Beverly Hills home.
Comments have yet to be issued from any of McMahon’s representatives. His Beverly Hill’s home currently sits on the market for $4.6M.
Most of McMahon’s financial problems stem from a neck injury he sustained in 2007. He underwent surgery in March 2008 to current this and other problems.
